To make your own web site is not as difficult as it seems. And it might just be the answer to your job search.

Until now I have been looking for sites that offer jobs. Guess what the gurus say? That it is much better if you create your own job. It means you either begin an activity in your own home - according to what your abilities and interests are, or... you make your own web site.

Whichever you choose, the first step is to enjoy what you do, so you'd better choose something that you like and you're good at. This is the secret to having a fulfilled professional life - enjoying what you do. If you think you're not particularly good at anything, ask the others around you about what you're good at (or think about the things you like to talk about, much to the despair of the others around you ;-).

The starting point, if you decide to make your own web site, is the same: find something that you like and that you know a lot about. Then just write some pages of content about the topic you know / like / are concerned with. The first person who really helped me is Ken Evoy, president of SiteSell. On his site you'll find lots of useful info about making money with your web site.

I have subscribed a f-r-e-e 10 days course in which he explains step-by-step how to make your own web site so as to be profitable. Now, this course is in PDF format - you cand download it by clicking here (remember, it's free). You are about to download a zipped file ("Aff-Masters.zip"). Save it to your desktop. After you have downloaded, unzip it.

This will unzip a folder called "Affiliate Masters Course" on your desktop (if you do not change the default location). The folder contains two files....

So why should you make your own website? If you build a Website...

    that builds targeted traffic...

       it will cause visitors to click through...

          with a warm, open-to-buy attitude...

             to merchant sites that you represent.

You'll have to decide what keywords are appropriate for your site, then check with some search engines if there is request for your keywords (some of them also provide related keywords). Sitesell has a new functionality in order to help you find them. Go to SearchIt and click on the Search It link. You'll get a lot of info about brainstorming, related ketwords, number of searches, competition, maximum bids... I really can't list it all. Go there now, you're in for a pleasant surprise.

When you have found the right keywords, write your pages around them, so as to get a better ranking with the search engines. Then submit your site to the search engines. This will bring you traffic.

So now you have a site which provides content for other people who have the same interests. Your site ranks high with search engines, and you have traffic. This is the moment to make money: look for merchants that have products compatible with your site and check if they have affiliate programs, then join them. Your visitors will be willing to buy, if you don't push them to do it - just make them curious.
